Elijah Givens
was born in Tennessee on 13 Jan 1833 and died in Kendall County,
Texas on 15 Oct 1917. He was the son of Samuel Givens (1804 - 1870) and Sarah Gray Givens
(1802 - 1870).
In 1856 he married Sarah Butler. They had eight children:
Sarah E Givens (1857 - ?);
Martha Jane Givens who married Ira West Ellis;
Sterling Price Givens who married Luannie Rose;
William Henry Givens who married Sarah Ada Wilson;
Mary A Givens (1868 - ?);
Jesse S Givens (1870 - ?);
Laura Annie Givens who married Robert Karl Uecker; and
Elijah Mark Givens who married Emma Augusta Wilson.
