George Washington Edge was born in Arkansas on 15 Jul 1858 and died in Boerne, Kendall, Texas on 7 Feb 1918. He was the son of William B Edge and Josaphine Catherine Carter Edge.
On 24 Dec 1879 he married Mary Paloma Lawhon in the Curry's Creek Community (now Kendalia), Kendall, Texas.
They had twelve children, seven of whom died in infancy or childhood:
Minnie Catherine Cornelia Edge;
Donovan Dewey Edge; and
