She later married Grover Lawhon. They had twins:
Brenda Elaine Lawhon (1952 - living) who married Edward Oscar Bankhead; and
Bruce Dwayne Lawhon (1952 - living) who married Iva Pearl Weed (1954 - living) on 20 Sep 1975.
