Melvin "Sonny" Rae Rippey was born 11 May
1938 in Cottle County, Texas and died in Ardmore, Carter, Oklahoma on 2 Aug
2011.
He was the son of Melvin Ray Rippey and Margaret Barthel Rippey Williamson who was the sister of Lois Barrington.
He married Jo Ann Judith Martino (1939 - living). They had two sons:
Anthony Michael Rippey (1965 - living); and
Gregory Ray Rippey (1968 - living).
