Baxter William Gourley

Bill Baxter Gourley was born on 15 Feb 1897 in Kendalia, Kendall, Texas and died in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas on 25 Mar 1937. He was the son of John Patton Gourley and Emma Jane Knibbe Gourley.

On 7 Sep 1935 he married Dorothy Burke. They had one son:

Dudley Baxter Gourley.

Note: Even though birthdate shown on the tombstone of Baxter Gourley is 15 Apr 1897, both the 1900 Census and his WWI Draft Registration indicate that he was born in February. The 1900 Census information was probably provided by his mother and he most likely provided the informaton in the draft registration. I do not know who provided the April date for the tombstone.
